The citizens of Finland have been named the world’s happiest people. It comes as no surprise that they have one of the strongest passports in the world, with visa-free access to 186 countries worldwide. The strong passport gives Finnish citizens unprecedented levels of freedom to travel and explore the world without worrying about visas and other restrictions. Not only does this allow them to maximize their happiness by experiencing new cultures and making international connections, but it also increases their economic opportunities as well – allowing them to work or study abroad more easily than many other nationalities can.
Although it scored 7.59 on the World Happiness Report this year, its passport scored 88.77 on VisaGuide.World Passport Index’, which ranks passports of 199 countries based on their visa-free access to other destinations and other factors, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
The report also emphasizes the importance of community involvement and social connections. It states, “Social support is essential to humans’ well-being: it can buffer stress, promote resilience in times of crisis and provide a source of positive emotions and meaning in life. Countries that enjoy higher levels of social capital have been more successful in their pandemic responses.” Finland has consistently been ranked as one of the most socially connected countries in Europe and this helps explain its success during the pandemic. Overall, Finland stands out for its commitment to creating an environment where people are supported both economically and emotionally. This commitment has helped create a society that is thriving despite tough economic times due to various factors such as lower unemployment rates, strong education systems, access to healthcare services and sustainable development initiatives such as renewable energy usage. The World Happiness Report confirms what many already know; when there is something special about a country or culture it will show through greater measures on key indicators related to happiness.
Taking a look at VisaGuide’s Passport Index, the following countries are ranked in the top first six: Japan Singapore Italy Germany Spain Sweden As the seventh most popular passport in Nordic countries, Finland’s passport, which offers visa-free access to 90 countries and passport-free access to 54 countries, is one of the most famous passports in the world.
In addition, the index also shows that Iceland is ranked in the 11th position with a visa-free access to 87 countries worldwide. Norway’s passport is right behind Iceland’s ranking at 12th place, granting Norwegians visa-free access to 86 countries across the globe. All Nordic countries except for Finland have passports comparatively more powerful than those of other European nations such as Germany and France that are both ranked below them on global rankings as well.
Iceland has a relatively weak passport, but it is still one of the most powerful passports in the world. Finns need visas to travel to 29 countries, including some of the more dangerous ones.
